Business Description
Founded in 2015 by some of Maryland’s most well known business and philanthropic families, CULTA always intended to be different. Operating partners and co-founders Mackie Barch and Matt Bickel, along with their other founders, wanted to create a Maryland-only, craft cannabis brand that not only focused on product quality but also used cannabis as a tool for revitalization.
Located in Cambridge, a federal enterprise zone, the city has had a long history of manufacturing but fell on hard times as the canning industry moved overseas. CULTA is a socially conscious company that wants to make Cambridge the hub of Maryland’s cannabis manufacturing, technology and canna-tourism.
